Christina Shores Joins AccelerateMS as Executive Assistant

JACKSON, Miss. – AccelerateMS, Mississippi’s lead office for workforce development strategy and coordination, welcomes Christina Shores as Executive Assistant.

In her new capacity at AccelerateMS, Shores will play a pivotal role in supporting innovative workforce development initiatives across the state, collaborating with partners to ensure that Mississippi’s talent pipeline remains strong, agile, and responsive to evolving industry needs.

“We are excited to welcome Christina to the team,” said Dr. Courtney Taylor, Executive Director of AccelerateMS. “From executive support to community engagement, Christina’s broad expertise will strengthen our ability to serve Mississippi’s evolving workforce needs.”

With more than 10 years of robust experience in office management, client services, patient intake, and healthcare administration, Shores brings a proven track record of streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and leading teams to success.

In her most recent role at the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District, she coordinated key operations for the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program, spearheaded community initiatives such as food bank services and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren events, and provided comprehensive executive support. She is skilled in executive scheduling, procurement, financial reporting, facility and fleet management, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Prior to CMPDD, Christina served as Accounting Clerk and Administrative Assistant at Phil Moore Buick GMC, managing payments, inventory, and customer service.

Shores holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Jackson State University and is certified in Foundations of Project Management, Medical Billing and Coding, IT Support in Healthcare, U.S. Health Law Fundamentals and Health Information Technology. During her healthcare internship at Grace and Mercy Respite Care Facility in Clinton, MS, she assisted with payroll, maintained a community food pantry, and supported staff onboarding and compliance programs.
