State Workforce Investment Board
About SWIB
Mississippi's State Workforce Investment Board is created pursuant to MS Code Section 37-153-7 and the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to serve as an advisory board to the Office of Workforce Development (i.e. AccelerateMS), to monitor publicly-funded workforce development programs, and to recommend strategies and policies that enhance coordination among programs and activities towards continuous improvement of Mississippi's complex workforce development system.
WIOA Plan
The four-year State Plan represents an agreement among the core partners identified in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and serves as the framework for the development of public policy, fiscal investment, and operation of all state labor exchange, workforce education, and training programs.
Mississippi’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Combined Plan (State Plan) for Program Years (PY) 2024-27 will be available soon.
