AccelerateMS Expands Communications Team with Beunkka Davis

JACKSON, Miss. – AccelerateMS, Mississippi’s lead office for workforce development strategy and coordination, is pleased to welcome Beunkka Davis as a Communications Specialist. In this role, she will develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that align with the organization’s mission and goals, ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders. 

“With extensive experience in multimedia, branding, and audience engagement, Beunkka is well-equipped to enhance our communication strategies and marketing initiatives,” said Daniel Hawthorne, Communications Manager at AccelerateMS.  

She most recently served as a public relations coordinator at Alcorn State University, where she managed press releases, designed marketing materials, and collaborated across departments to enhance brand visibility. Prior to that, she was the public relations director for the Coahoma County School District, overseeing social media strategy and photography. She also served as a communications specialist at Delta Health Alliance, where she developed digital content, newsletters, and community outreach materials. 

Davis holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Howard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Alcorn State University.
