AccelerateMS Welcomes Melissa McCoy as Instructional Designer

JACKSON, Miss. – AccelerateMS, Mississippi’s lead office for workforce development strategy and coordination, is excited to announce the addition of Melissa McCoy as Instructional Designer to its Talent Solutions Team. 

With more than 30 years of experience in leadership development, organizational growth, and instructional design, McCoy brings a proven track record of building high-impact training programs that drive measurable results. Her expertise spans a wide range of industries and includes designing innovative eLearning, developing leadership curricula, and managing large-scale training initiatives for organizations such as International Paper, Entergy, and Magnolia Federal Credit Union. 

McCoy’s recent roles have focused on creating tiered training and certification programs, leading ERP training initiatives, and facilitating leadership development for both emerging and established professionals. She is highly skilled in using cutting-edge instructional design tools—including Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Suite—and is adept at translating complex processes into engaging, accessible learning experiences. 

In her new role, McCoy will lead the development of customized, job-specific training materials for Mississippi’s workforce, collaborating with employers and subject matter experts to ensure programs are tailored to the unique needs of each community and industry. She will play a key role in supporting AccelerateMS’s mission to deliver flexible, hands-on, and relevant training that empowers individuals and drives economic growth across the state.

McCoy holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Management, both from Belhaven University.
