Edward Hargrove Tapped to Lead Federal Projects

JACKSON, MS — Accelerate Mississippi, the lead office for workforce development strategy and coordination, is pleased to announce that Edward Hargrove will take the lead on federal projects, effective January 1, 2024.
In his new role, Hargrove will be responsible for federal grant initiatives and working alongside state partners to develop strategies aimed at creating a more cohesive approach to workforce development within federal programs.
“When Mississippi leaders created our office, they charged us with taking a holistic approach to improving the impact of workforce resources in Mississippi, said Ryan Miller, AccelerateMS Executive Director. “The past two years have seen an increase in the number of federal projects under the direction of AccelerateMS and having a teammate like Ed will help our office navigate the complexities of these federal projects, ensuring that they align with our overarching goals of bolstering Mississippi’s workforce and driving sustainable economic growth.”
Hargrove joined AccelerateMS in 2022 as an ecosystem coordinator for the Pine Belt and Gulf Coast regions supporting a variety of local economic and workforce development activities.
An active member of the community, Hargrove was honored with the Susan Walker Community Leadership Award as a member of the Leadership Pinebelt Class of 2023 and was named Grand Marshal for the 73rd Annual Hattiesburg Jaycees Christmas Parade.
He holds a Master of Science in Economic Development and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the University of Southern Mississippi.
