Kudos to Juan Garcia, Mekhi Young, and Elijah Fletcher for hitting a major milestone! Through the Mississippi Reconnect program, in partnership with the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District and Build Mississippi. These three completed several key certifications to jumpstart their careers.

Launched by #AccelerateMS, the Reconnect Program is designed to support unemployed and underemployed Mississippians by offering access to short-term training (up to eight weeks) for in-demand jobs across industries like construction, healthcare, IT, forestry, and more.

Each of them earned the following certifications:
✅ NCCER Core
✅ Construction Safety
✅ OSHA 10 (Construction)
✅ CPR, First Aid, and AED

BuildMS also equipped them with brand-new steel-toe boots as they gear up for the next step, starting the Basic Electrical class on May 5th.
