Several members of the #AccelerateMS team, along with colleagues from Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence, recently had the unique opportunity to tour Blue Oval City—Ford Motor Company’s cutting-edge electric vehicle and battery manufacturing campus located in Stanton, Tennessee.
As part of the visit, the team explored the new BlueOval SK (BOSK) battery plant, a state-of-the-art facility spanning 4.7 million square feet with a 45-gigawatt-hour capacity. This advanced plant is a critical component of Ford’s strategy to support its next-generation electric vehicle programs.
During the tour, the group walked through each stage of the battery production process, including electrode production, cell assembly, cell formation, and module assembly.
